- Sloane and Rocco are playing outside the in the sun. The sun's heat rays are getting transfered into their skin.
- They are both really tan now. Rocco starts playing around in the water to create kinetic energy in the water. He did that by transferring kinetic energy in his body to the water.
- Rocco found a ball in the water and jumps to throw it at Sloane. There are two energy changes happening. He has kinetic energy changed into gravitational energy when he jumps in the air so that is an energy transformation. His hand is transferring kinetic energy to the ball.
- The gravitational energy from him jumping is now transforming into kinetic energy when he falls back down. The ball is now gaining more kinetic energy.
- The ball had an energy transformation from kinetic energy to elastic energy because it compresses when it hits your face and that is a type of deformation. When the ball hits your face the elastic energy changes back into kinetic energy causing your face to move. That is a transformation but the ball is also transferring the energy to your face so we have 3 energy changes going on.
- Sloane is sad now but Rocco is still laughing at her. Oh boy! The ball is now falling to the ground and had an energy transformation from elastic energy to kinetic energy.
