- It was a nice day in the neighborhood doing typical activies to keep busy. Steve cleaning his car, Don who is mowing the lawn, and the good humor man selling ice cream to some kids around the neighborhood. Other people in this story are Mrs. Brand, Les Goodman, Charlie, Tommy and the women.
- Climax
- What causes the conflict to start and come into play is when the alien/family invaders start to hover over the neighborhood. The tricks started to get way out of hand. All of the people in the neighborhood started to turn on each other which caused a whole arguing conflict between each and everyone of them.
- Falling Action
- When in their neighborhood on Maple Street everyone is trying to figure out how to handle themselves. A strange flash of light happened and all the power went off including cars not turning on and no light power. Everyone was very sketched out; so Pete Van Horn decided to check some more neighbors to see if their power went out as well. Then a little boy named Tommy thought about a book he has read about aliens and that was what was happening on Maple Street. In the book everyone starts pointing fingers and all of a sudden Les Goodmans car turned on and they start to think him and his family are aliens.
- Resolution
- The part of the story when things start to get intense is when one of the characters Charlie killed Pete Van Horn. Charlie killed him for self protection because he thought that Pete was the reason for the aliens actions. Everyone was very upset with Charlie because everyone knows Pete Van Horn, and the next thing you know, he was shot dead.
- CHARLIE!
- After more and more irritation and arguing between the neighbors on Maple Street, they are still all trying to figure out who is being suspicious. Possible people for the situation were Les Goodman, Charlie, and Tommy. They thought of these people because Les stays up all night and Tommy knew about the alien stories. However right after Charlies House lights came on out of no where. Now the neighbors are very upset with Charlie because not only was he suspicious, but he KILLED a local neighbor.
- Towards the end of the story all of the characters/people realize something.#160; They realized that humans at one point are definitely going to take over and demolish this whole world. That is because us humans are stronger than we really think and we are the only thing stronger than us.
