  • I wonder what all that noise is about.. And what are they doing in my room? Oh yeah! My painting!

  • Milly was always an artist and loved to put her mind to creative challenges. The different materials she used and the pictures she drew all showcased her wonderful skills.
  • But Mom! I don't even like painting, and this is Milly's room!
  • Liam! You should always clean up after yourself! I can't believe you would be this messy!
  • Should I just let him take the blame? She'd be mad if I didn't tell the truth, but no one needs to know...
  • The problem was that Milly never cleaned up after her messes. She could paint for hours on end, get hungry, and forget about her painting until she walked back into her room. The absurd amount of brushes and paint she uses never really gets put back, even with someone telling her to do so.
  • Thank you for being honest Milly, and I apologize to you, Liam, I shouldn't have jumped to conclusions.
  • Actually! Mom, I was the one who left them here. Sorry, I'll clean it up right away.
  • One evening, Milly was painting, as she always did. She then left to get a glass of water until she stopped, hearing an argument flare from above in her room. The voices were distinguished as both her mother and little brother.
  • Milly's mother was yelling at her younger brother, looking fully convinced that it was Liam who made the mess. Both siblings knew that their mother won't hesitate to give punishments, no matter the person. Milly could always let her brother take the blame and lie to her mom but...
  • Milly decided to tell the truth. She knew how much of an emotional person her brother was and seeing him mad at her was something she really couldn't bear. Revenge was something he loved and she didn't want to take a risk down that road. Being honest was the easiest thing for her to do.
  • The aspiring artist got right to work with cleaning up her supplies. Only good things came from telling the truth, and the amount of guilt that she would've been feeling if she lied would've made lying itself not worth it, and Milly knew that with all her heart.
