  • Standard dialects are just variations of speech assosiated with the particular regions or social groups, like in France where Standard Parisian exist.
  • To be simplified better, we can see SAE (Standard American English) as a set of ticked boxes, this being that most of these are subject to being subjective, thus it all comes to what the society deems correct speech or not so when looking into it, it's easier to look at it and study it when looking at what the majority of the population uses to communicate.

It is important to note that while contemporary newscasters do model a standard American english, different regional broadcasts, like grammar books, present variations in speech.
