- Why is it so cold in here Ms.Frizzle. But then why is our class pet warm.what is convection?
- Well the air conditioner is broken ,so it won't stop causing cold air to blast in. Because of something called convectionTO THE BUS!!
- Please don't let this be a field trip!!!
- All aboard time for a Field trip!!
- Students get on the bus and then the bus shrinks to Particle size.
- So class do you see all those air particles, and see how some are red while others are blue. The red ones are heat particles while the blue ones are cold particles. Well as you can see the cold particles are dropping below down to more of the middle of the classroom.
- Yeah I see them but how come it is so cold in the room if there are both cold and heat particles
- Now up here you can see that a lot of the hot air particles are up here because heat rises, so all this motion of the particles and the effect it has on our room is called convection so it is cold in our room to us and hot in our room to our class pet because convection is happening.
- All right class back to the classroom!!
- Students get off of the bus and bus grows back to normal.
- Yeah, I get it it's because of convection!!
- Do you guy's now get why it is so cold but our class pet is comfortable.
- Yeah I get it but i'm still COLD!!
