- In New York City, 12-year-old twins' Alex and Cleo's father disappear, so they join the Black Hook Gang and are caught by the police pulling off a heist. They agree to reveal the identity of the gang in exchange for tickets to New Orleans to start a new life. When they reach the train station, they notice a flyer about two missing twins. They mostly match the description of the Kimball twins, but Cleopatra would have to cut her hair to look more like a boy. They decide to stick with this plan, so they will have a proper family, and finally be rich.
- What have you done to my sister?
- Liar!!! You killed her!
- I have done nothing to her. She is perfectly fine.

- In New Orleans, they explore their surroundings. Oddly, they spot another set of red haired twins. They overhear them pretending to be the Kimball twins as well! Alex went up to the boy named Edwin. They both faked being one of the real Kimball twins, but soon they got into a fight. After the chaos, Silas and Cleopatra ended up in the police station, because of the twin confusion, but they escaped and got on a ship docking in San Francisco. Alex and Edwin got kidnapped and sent to work on a ship, also headed to San Francisco.
- Silas, I can't believe it's you!
- Cleo?
- Edwin ?!
- Alex?
- That's where me and Cleopatra were planning to meet up if we seperate!
- Cleopatra and Edwin get kidnapped from the ship they were on, by Luther (part of the Black Hook Gang and a new member of Felix Whorley's crew). Cleopatra is specifically wanted because she owns a pocket knife that has a hidden map which could lead to hidden treasure. Luther has a mission to kill Cleopatra if he wishes to, but since he always liked her, he left her and Silas alone, but took the pocket knife with him. Right after Luther walked away, they freed themselves and escaped into the darkness. From there, they headed towards a nearby port, to ride on another ship heading to San Francisco.
- So am I Cleo. I feel better than ever.
- I missed you so much father! I'm so glad your back.
- Eventually, Luther found Alex's whereabouts, so he and the crew sail a ship that would cross paths with the ship Alex was on. When the ships collide, Luther goes looking for Alex. He finds him sitting by the wall in the lower deck. Luther confronts him and asks for his watch, which also leads to hidden treasure. When Alex refuses, he attacks. Alex immediately falls down in pain . Luther, triumphant, gets ready to kill the young boy, but Edwin comes out from behind and hits Luther's bead with a broomstick. Afterwards, Luther's crewmate, comes down to the lower deck and takes Luther with him, since their crew was failing as they fought, they had to retreat.
- After days of waiting, both ships finally dock in San Francisco. As Alex and Jeremiah walk around the docks, they stumble into Silas and Cleopatra! They happily rejoice, and are glad to see each other. Both pairs couldn't believe they finally found their twin. They all say their goodbyes, and head their ways. Cleopatra wasn't too happy that their father wasn't there, but she was glad she got Alex back. They returned to their ships to retrieve any belongings.
- Surprisingly, the twins noticed a feeble man walking towards them on the way. He looked quite familiar. Their father!! They ran up to him, and helped him right away. The twins got him checked by a doctor and given the proper medicine, since he looked very sick and brittle. Alex and Cleopatra thought of the worst case scenarios, but a moment later, their father started to wake up. They hugged him, and knew that things were going to take time to get back to normal, but their family was whole again. Silas and Edwin, didn't have the happiest ending, but they decided to be the Kimball twins, and pretend to turn themselves in, so they could also have a family,
