  • How many people have died from smoking and vaping
  • Cigarette smoking causes more than 480,000 deaths per year in the United States. Also including the 41,000 deaths resulting from secondhand exposure from smoke. This is about 1,300 deaths every day. On average, smokers die 10 years earlier than nonsmokers
  • A total of 60 deaths linked to vaping products have been confirmed as of January 21, 2020 among 27 states and the District of Columbia. At least one death linked to a vaping product.
  • What smoking can do to you
