  • Exposition - Introduce setting, characters, and background information
  • Rising Action - Introduce the conflict
  • Rising Action - Conflict develops
  • Once upon a time, a girl named Persephone was forced to marry the god Hades. Eventually, the married couple had a son named August. Persephone hoped and hoped that her son would not turn out to be anything like his father. Although, like his father, he was very short tempered, but like his mother, he was somewhat well mannered and took other peoples' feelings into account. However, every time Persephone would leave the underworld to see her mother, August would become angry and wouldn't talk to anyone. This was the case until one day, August had had enough.
  • Rising Action - Conflict continues to develop
  • "GET BACK HERE!" screamed Hermes.
  • "CATCH ME IF YOU CAN!" yelled August.
  • One day, when it was the time of year again, Persephone left the underworld to return to the fields with her mother. However this time, August had followed her. Once he reached the fields he noticed how happy his mother was. This infuriated August that his mother was only happy when she was away from his father and him. Out of his frustration he then ran away into the forest and lit everything and anything within his reach on fire. This news soon got to Zeus, which he was not happy about.
  • Climax - Turning point
  • "August!"
  • "August!"
  • "August!"
  • As soon as Zeus heard the news of his beloved earth being destroyed he was not happy. He was so angry that wherever August was he would shoot down his lightning bolt as hard as he could. He screamed, cried, and yelled every time August lit something on fire. His tears would make the fire disappear with a snap, but no matter how much force he threw his lightening bolt, he could never stop August. Soon, Hermes noticed that his master was upset and angry, so he decided to try and fix it.
  • Resolution - The end
  • Hermes looked for August confidently. He assumed a little boy wouldn't be a problem for him, as he was considered the most sly, and sneaky boy around. After a while, Hermes found August and demanded him to stop at once. August was not very fond of being bossed around. He decided to play around with Hermes and yelled, "Catch me if you can!" With that, he ran away, with Hermes on his heels. Soon, August became tired, Hermes however, was super quick and didn't run out of breath easily. Hermes was pleased with himself, he celebrated and bragged like there was no tomorrow.
  • This was a terrible mistake. While Hermes masked in his glory, August had escaped. As soon as Hermes realized August was gone, he circled the world twice, searching every centimeter on the planet, but sadly, his search cam up short, and he returned to Zeus empty handed.
  • "August!"
  • "August!"
  • "August!"
  • "August!"
  • "August!"
  • Hermes wasn't in a rush to get back to Zeus anymore, he took the longest way possible up to Mount Olympus, as he didn't want to see the look on his master's face when he showed up without the criminal he set out to find. To this day wherever August travels, Zeus cries, and throws his bolt of lightning to try to catch the culprit red handed, while Hermes searches over, and over again. Nobody doubts that he learned his lesson to never get cocky again. This is how lightning came to be.
