- Exposition !
- In the beginning of the story, its a stormy night in this cottage, Inside lays Herbert White and his father named Mr. white playing chess. They were doing this while waiting for Seargent- major Morris.
- Rising Action Pt 1!
- During the rising action Seargent-Major Morris arrives coming through the gates , and foot steps could be heard coming to the door. Mr White gets up and opens the door for the Seargent.
- Rising Action Pt 2!
- In the rising action pt 2 when seargent -major Morris was talking with the family and tells them about the monkey's paw in his hand. He tells them that it grants wishesHerbert suggests that his father should wish for 200 pounds, he also said he doubts thats going to see the money.
- In the climax they woke up the next morning think they were going to get payed 200 pounds but they think it was just a myth. Herbert went out to get food and it was just Mrs and Mr White, later a stranger was outside with 200 pounds they let the guy in only to be told that Herbert died and the 200 pounds was from the sum of compensation.
- Climax !
- In the falling action Mrs and Mr White, are in the cemetery of where Herbert lays. They cried and cried and cried until they took it into resignation
- Falling Action !
- Resolution !
- In the resolution, one night Mr.White woke up in the middle of the night. Then all of a sudden Mrs, white at the door is shouting that herbert is while she tried openeing the door for him Mr. white wouldn't let her because he was scared for the monkey's paw. But in the end he walks 2 miles with Mrs. White to see Herbert.
