- It was the middle of the summer. My parents had left for that weekend due to a work trip, which meant I was all by myself for the weekend.
- I woke up at around 8 after a nap that evening. I did have homework that night but I was too hungry to do it right after waking up. I went to my parents’ bedroom, and through the window I saw a guy on our porch, watching…looking at our house. He saw me by the window and left.
- I went to the kitchen to eat. Mom said she cooked Lasagna for me earlier. I watched the T.V while eating. I was feeling sleepy after eating but then I remember I had to finish my homework. As I was about to bring the dish to the kitchen, I kind of sensed someone walk up the stairs. I decided to brush it off, maybe I'm just being paranoid.
- It was around midnight when I finished my homework. At about 1 PM, I got up to get some water. Paula, our neighbor, sent a picture of a man standing in front our door, to my mom. She texted me saying she already called the cops. I then went to my bedroom to hide.
- I heard the glass break and then a ringing of the doorbell. I was so scared that I didn’t move from where I was hiding.
- Soon enough, I heard the police sirens and decided to go out of my hiding spot. I opened the door and there I saw Paula with the police. It was Paula who was ringing the doorbell all this time. I was finally saved.
