The USA Ambassador suggest to Mexico that Mexico should sell Texas to the USA, which make the Mexican Government get more concerned. General Manuel de Mier y Teran was sent to do an investigation on Texas and finds a lot of Anglo influence everywhere. He tells the Mexican government they should act fast, or they'll lose Texas forever.
8th cause; The battle of Gonzales
The law stopped immigration from the USA, which upset colonists because they had family in the USA. It suspended Empresarios contracts, imposed taxes on foreign goods, and stopped the introduction of slaves. These laws made the colonists very mad.
9th cause; the Consultation of 1835
Colonists refused to pay taxes, Mean Bradburn had William B Travis and Patrick Jack arrested for interfering with tax collections, which made the colonists mad and they began to fight Mean Bradburn. This lead to the other event; The Turtle Bayou Resolution
10th cause; The convention of 1836
The battle of Gonzales was the 1st battle of the Texas Revolution. The colonists formed an army of about 160 people. The colonists marched with a canon, which had a white flag with the words "come and take it". The battle was brief, but Mexico took this as a sign of war. The Texans won the battle proving to them that the Mexican army could be defeated. This lead to the Consultation of 1835.
After the battle of Gonzales, Texans meet at Washington-on the-Brazos to decide if Texas would declare its independence. The peace party vs the war party, SFA was a part of the war party, who wanted Texas to declare its independence from Mexico. The peace party won. The colonists pledged their loyalty to Mexico and said they are defending the COnstitution of 1824. This lead to the last cause.
While Many Texans are meeting at the convention, Evil Santa has arrived in Texas and is fighting against the Texans. At the convention, Childress writes the Texas Declaration of Independence on March 2nd, 1836. In the declaration for independence, the Texans write a list of complaints about why they were unhappy with the Mexican Government. They also wrote the constitution. The Alamo falls on March 6th, 1836, every Texan is killed, and this motivates texans to keep fighting against evil Santa.
