- In France, things were a little unfair. The lower class was called the third estate and the higher class people were called the first and second estate depending on who you were. They would vote by order and always outvote the third estate. The first and second estates would constantly meet on how to solve the financial crisis they were in. Their idea was to tax the third estate a lot of money to were they were mostly poor.

- The third estate had eventually had enough of eating the table scraps so members of the third estate marched to Versailles to speak their mind. They wanted to be known as the national assembly and wanted the king to pledge to make things equal between the third estate and the second and first estate which he agreed to but was not happy about it. They later made a document stating this called the constitution of 1791.

- The third estate felt like the first and second estates weren't listening to the constitution they said they were going to obey. So on July 14 1789 they stormed the bastille which was like a big prison for a lot of the third estate that was thought to have a lot of guns and ammo. Once the third estate broke through they freed the prisoners and killed the guards and general they're marking the beginning of the french revalution.

- on October 5 the woman felt like they weren't getting fair treatment so they marched to verisais shouting bread! in that day the queen would have parties where they would be plenty of food for her and her guest while the Third estate couldn't even afford bread. So they made the queen who they were angry with promise to move out of the castle and to where they were living and to making it even for all woman

- Soon after the french became a republic and the leader of the republic was led by a man called Robespierre. At this time a new death penalty had been invented called the guillotine. Lots of people would be executed through this method which was quick and easy. Some of the people were king Louie himself the queen and even Robespierre himself when the people thought he was doing a bad job of leading.

- After the reign of terror, a man named Napoleon would begin to become popular among the people mostly for his military success he would dominate his opponents and inspire his army. After a couple of years, Napoleon would name himself the emperor of France. He would begin to reform France in his image at would go on to win many battles but also lose some really important ones.
