  • After the death of their dear family members, the two sisters, Antigone and Ismene, and a brother,Polynices, decided to take a trip to bond. They brought Creon, their uncle, and Haemon, their cousin and future husband of Antigone. Their ship got caught in a storm and they were stranded on an island. Creon decided he should be in charge and lead the group.
  • Act 4
  • After some time, Creon became a cruel and selfish leader. He started forcing the others to do all the work while he relaxed and gave orders. Polynices did not like this, but could not do anything about it. One day however, he decided to complain to Creon. Upon doing this, Creon attacks Polynices, killing him. Because of his disobedience, Creon decides Polynices' body will not be buried under proper ritual. The body shall be tossed in the water and let there to wash out to sea.
  • Act 5
  • Antigone does not believe that Creon's decision to not bury the body is right. She wants to bury her brother so he has a chance to enter the afterlife. She decides to stand up to Creon and protest his decision while her sister and Haemon are out gathering food. Creon is fed up with her disobedience and decides she is to die if she cannot obey his orders. Creon digs a hole in the sand and buries Antigone so that just her head is above ground. Haemon and Ismene return to discover what Creon has done.
  • Haemon rushes to the beach to try and save Antigone. When he gets there he discovers he is too late and the tide has risen, drowning Antigone while she was stuck in the sand. When he discovers this, Haemon takes his knife and stabs himself, ending his life too. Upon finding  the tragedies, Ismene is so overcocme with grief that she faints at the sight of Haemon's body and falls into the sea. Creon later comes to the beach and can see her body floating in the sea. 
  • At the site of the bodies, Creon realizes all his mistakes and how selfish he was. He understands now that his ruling was unjust and he caused the problems. He is in anguish over his poor decisions and actions. It is too late for him to fix his mistakes now. Everyone is dead except for him. He will have to do all the work in order for him to survive.
