- We are the Wong family from Vietnam, we are very lucky because our family in Paris France has given us a place to stay and a job at their restaurant. With our country at war we need to move away for our safety and the safety of our child.

- My Uncle Pahe came to France during World War 2 as a soldier and never left the country. He sent back for his wife and now is a successful owner of a Vietnamese restaurant. My family and I are staying at his house instead of the refugee camp we are very lucky.

- It has been a long time coming but we are officially legal citizens of France. My Uncle Pahe is opening a new restaurant in the 13th district of Paris and wants me to be in charge. This is an opportunity I would have never had back in my homeland. We have asked for out parent to join us, but they will not leave their homeland.

- The city of Paris is full of emigrants like I was. My people have sought for asylum from our war ridden country filled with corruption and poverty in search of a better life filled with economic opportunities, education, medical care, and freedom. We have even made a part of Paris like our homeland with inspiration of our culture and cuisine. I have given my family a better life and my son the education to become successful just like I am today. It was a long tough road, but that is my story.
