- Maui, the demi-god, was an arrogant man. He was repelled by the idea of death. Maui wanted to prove he was immortal to anything, that he was The Great Maui.
- Maui was on his island, thinking about what would happen if he was dead, what would people think of the "immortal" Maui. Maui had a plan to prove his immortality.
- Maui's plan was....... he would infiltrate into the island of the "Guardian of Life" Hine. On the dark cold night, Maui would kill hine while she slept. To prove he was the Great Maui.
- "Dead"
- Maui was on the trip to kill hine. If Maui steals Hine's heart, it will kill her automatically. Maui just needed to infiltrate into Hine's body and get out of Hine Island with the heart.
- Maui told his brothers about his great plan. And had the idea to turn his brothers into birds to instructed them to quietly stand guard. Maui was infiltrated at the dark night into Hine, when suddenly...
- Before Maui could steal Hine's heart, one of the birds deceived Maui. Oh and the loud noise of the bird alerted Hine from her sleep and had awoken the beast, resulting immediately Maui's death.
