  • Billie Eilish is singing around the cabbages in Garden Spring Park. I'm not sure which they like more, her singing or her CO2?
  • The cabbage has to use photosynthesis to make it's own energy. The cabbages uses Billie's CO2 from the air as one ingredient. The cabbages use another ingredient, light energy from the sun, that is caputured by the chloroplasts (Chloroplast's green color, AKA Chlorophyl, actually absorbs the light energy) and water (3rd ingredient) from the soil in photosynthesis to make glucose and Oxygen. The glucose gives the plant energy.
  • The cabbages grow big by using photosynthesis (happens in the cabbage's Chloroplasts) to make glucose and oxygen. The cabbage's mitochondria take the glucose in the presence of oxygen and break it down through glycolysis to make ATP for energy. That is called cellular respiration. Plants need both photosynthesis & cellular respiration to live and grow.
  • This is at a special event, a concert. during the concert, the cabbages are dug up and chopped up for the chef.
  • This relationship is saving lives. Humans release Co2, the plants consume that co2. The plants give off O2, and then we consume O2. Without this, humans and plants would die. The chopped up cabbage is made into egg rolls. Some cabbage is chopped, salted, and closed in a jar to undergo fermentation (fancy way of saying the glucose is broken down in the absence of oxygen) and it makes sauerkraut.
  • Bille and I then eat the egg rolls and saurkraut with a Bratwurst. After we are done, the chef throws away the cabbage core which then decomposes back into the soil, then the whole process happens again.
