- Eliezer and his father are thrown onto a train cart. pressed tightly against many other people in hopes of escaping the cold. There were 100 people per cart many barely alive and all losing hope to live and fight for their lives.
- Meir Katz Help!
- While at a stop the SS told them dead bodies are to be thrown off the train and Eliezer has to convince the men throwing dead people off the train that his father is still alive by doing his best to wake him up.
- Move around so you can warm up!
- While passing through a German town a German worker threw a piece of bread on the train cart and many workers were entertained by the sight of people fighting over the piece of food.
- Meir Katz a friend of Eliezer's father. was put in charge of the wagon they were in. On the 3 night of their journey Eliezer woke up to himself being strangled, his father tried helping but was too weak and called Meir Katz and Eliezer was set free.
- Days later Meir Katz complained about being extremely tired and feeling the pain of losing his son. On the last day of their Journey terrible wind blew and snow was falling. They felt like the end was coming but someone got up and said to move in order to warm up.
- Exhausted and tired of the journey Everyone on the train began to give up. That night they reached their destination. The dead were left in the wagon and Meir Katz stayed on the train. 12 people including Eliezer and his father had gotten off the train in Buchenwald.
