Mae Jemison
Mae Jemison graduated from high school at age 16, when she was applied to Stanford University. While in Stanford, Mae took part in a number of activities such as dance and theater, in addition to studying.
When she was young, Jemison spends her time reading in the school library. She enjoys reading about all types of science, including astronomy.
In high school, Jemison was intrested in becoming a biomedical engineer. She wanted to make and create gadgets that can help the human body.
After becoming a medical doctor, she returned to the US to achieve her dream of applying to NASA. 76 seconds into the 1986 Space Shuttle Challenger's flight, all 7 crew members died.
She finally flew into space on September 12, 1992, along with 6 other astronauts abroad the Space Shuttle Endeavor. During the flight, Jemison conducted expirements on her crewmates and herself.
