- Prometheus and Epimetheus were good gods and brothers. One day Prometheus stole fire to give to humans and was severely punished by Jupiter by being chained to a rock and having his liver constantly eaten by an eagle.

- But Jupiter wasn't done yet and he had a plan for Epimetheus. He asked Hephaestus to make a daughter for him out of clay. Jupiter then made this girl his daughter, Pandora. So sneakily, Jupiter allowed Epimetheus to marry Pandora as he was lonely.

- Jupiter gave the couple a jar (Amphora in Greek) that was locked with a note that said 'DO NOT OPEN' with a key. One day Pandora's curiosity got ahead of her and she opened the amphora.
- As soon as Pandora opened it, all the bad things in the world were released, Hate, Disease, Envy and Sickness. She closed the lid but it was too late. She began to weep which caught the attention of Epimetheus.
- Epimetheus came running and noticed Pandora and the Amphora. She showed him the Amphora but didn't close the lid fast enough.
- The last tiny bug flew out and gave Pandora a small smile as thanks for freeing him. That tiny bug was Hope and was the only good bug in the Amphora.
