- During the day, they close their stomata to prevent loss of water. And in the nighttime, CO2 is stored. The CO2 is converted into malate and store in vacuoles during the day.
- Snake plants are also known as mother-in-laws tongues. These plants are CAM plants meaning that they absorb carbon dioxide and release oxygen at night.
- Before this, a light dependent reaction must occur. And that is when the chlorophyll in plants absorb sunlight for the process of photosynthesis. The end product of this process is ATP and NADPH with the energy from the sun.
