- Banquo and Fleance talking about the prophecy and the dark night sky. Then comes Macbeth and they talk about the probhecy but Macbeth says he does not think of the prophecy at all.
- At the courtyard
- Macbeth sees a floating dagger in front of him as a part in showing foreshadowing. The dagger increases his ambition in killing the king.
- Macbeth and Lady Macbeth are near Duncan's room after Macbeth kills him and returns with two bloody daggers in his hand. They talk of the murder and how macbeth could not say Amen because of guilt. Lady Macbeth then keeps the daggers as Macbeth didn't keep them and couldn't go back to Duncan's room
- Near Duncan's room
- It is outside Macbeth's Castle when a porter knocks on a door. The porter talks of the strange nights and the sky. He talks of hell as Macduff and Lennox open the gate and talk.
- Outside Macbeth's Castle
- Here Macbeth, Lennox and Macduff meet in the morning as Macduff goes to wake up the king as he was told to do. They also talk of the dark nights.
- Macduff is horrored as Duncan is murdered. He informs the others and calls to Duncan's sons to inform them too. Then Lady Macbeth faints (acting) to distract them from the murder.
- Outside Duncan's Room
