  • Last time I taught you what a pizza cycle is and how our pepperonis are in the interphase most of the time. Today you will be serving different types of pizza.
  • As an example this is the first type of pizza which is prophase pizza
  • What is it?
  • Metaphase
  • I want a metaphase pizza.
  • What is a metaphase pizza ?
  • Before our pizza cell gets divided, the pizza cell will grow and duplicate all DNA and chromosomes (cheese slices) then it will divide resulting in two identical pizza cells "two daughter cells".
  • Anaphase
  • What is Anaphase pizza? I have never heard of this one before.
  • I want Anaphase pizza.
  • Prophase pizza is the first type on the menu and it takes the longest time. During prophase, chromatin condenses into chromosomes, and the nuclear envelope breaks down.
  • Telophase
  • I want telophase pizza.
  • What is Telophase pizza?
  • Metaphase pizza is usually the second type on the menu and it's served as the "cheese slices" in the middle part of the pizza where you can easily divide them. Also, if you notice there are two types of cheese this one is called " the two sisters" they get captured from the opposite side of the pizza.
  • Cytokinesis
  • Right.
  • Wow our restaurant is empty now which means that our "pepperoni" cell is finally split into two cells.
  • Anaphase pizza is usually the third type on the menu. Basically, you get the "cheese slices" as if they are moved away from one another to opposite poles of the pizza.
  • v v v v v v v v
  • Telophase pizza is usually the last option on the menu, it's when you get a special offer when two "cheese slices" move to opposite ends of the pizza and you get two large pepperoni slices.

  • Cytokinesis happens when the restaurant is completely empty when this happens coworkers know that their "pizza cells" have been separated to become individually which they call them " two daughter cells".
