  • Samuel Adams was a member of the Sons of Liberty in Boston.They made a unified protest to Britain.They demanded that the tax be repealed. A year later Parliamentrepealed the Stamp Act. The Stamp Act Congress gave thecolonists a model for the Continental Congress.

  • Patrick Henry spoke out against theStamp Act. He made several speechesthat helped inspire the colonists toprotest against the tax. Henry wasaccused of treason by the Britishgovernment for his strong opinions andinspirational speeches.
