- Oh god protect me from the evil demon that is my wife. She may try to hurt me and kill me , but your powers overrule hers, good always beats evil.
- Listen up, my people! We have all been deceived by Wealtheow. She is not my wife, nor is she a member of my tribe. She belongs to the demons and is Grendel's lover. We must use Canes against her will to defeat her once and for all.
- Oh my goodness!
- Wealtheow has the ability to hypnotize people with her eyes, which is one of her supernatural abilities. In order to keep her secret, she tries to hypnotize Hrothgar into forgetting everything Beowulf told him.
- Hrothgar pretended to be affected by Wealtheow's hypnosis, and he knew what she was up to, but it didn't affect him because God protected him from any horrible deeds.
- You can never defeat me! You shall all pay for what you have done to my beloved Grendel!
- Hrothgar waited until it was time for Wealtheow to sleep. Hrothgar tells his soldiers and people the truth about Wealtheow and Canes (their child). They intend to kill Wealtheow by using Canes and his supernatural abilities against her.
- I must go somewhere Wealtheow can never find me I must flee!
- Hrothgar's people and soldiers had all grouped together to kill Wealtheow, and they were all patiently waiting outside the castle for any movement Wealtheow might cause to attack.
- Wealtheow surprises the Danes by freezing them all to death, cursing the Danes with perpetual winter and never-ending summer. She fled with Canes, leaving the Danes to perish in the cold. She then notices that Hrothgar is not present; he must have fled, but she is still waiting for the day she kills him and feeds on his blood.
- Where is that weasel named Hrothgar?
- Hrothgar manages to flee the Danes leaving his people behind to suffer however...
