- (Ellie Weisel 39)"Then, as if he was waking from a deep sleep, he slapped my father with such force that he fell down and then crawled back to his place on all fours."This scene was good to use because of how in every way it's man v.s. man. The main reason I did this scene which helps with the fact that he's literally fighting another man.

- I no longer accepted God's silence. As I swallowed my ration of soup, I turned the act into a symbol of rebellion, of protest against him.This scene to me was good for this one because of how Ellie is interpreting it. He says it's an act of rebellion which in my opinion was a little extreme. (Ellie Weisel 69)
- (Ellie Weisel 65) "Where He is? This is where-hanging here from the gallows..."I wanted to use this to have people realize the these traumatic experiences can lead to self-thought. People truly underestimate the power in this sentence it is so impactful for things like these.
- (Ellie Weisel 3)"He has mastered the art of rendering insignificant, invisible."I wanted to use this scene and part of the book to just show how he is just living his everyday life. Also, this scene has no one else in it so that they can't worry about him being in the way.
