  • Thou walk past the graveyard of the dead and notice a funeral is being held. Who is to be buried, or is she a man? The uneasy feeling of not knowing who is being buried in my kingdom fills me with aggression.
  • My movements are harsh and my voice speaks like a growling bear. I ask the gravedigger if the person is a woman or man. His response is confusing. He says she is neither a woman nor man. What does this mean?
  • Laertes is outraged and goes on about a speech, I have no interest until I hear the name Ophelia.
  • No, no it can’t be, my beautiful Ophelia, how can this be possible? My heart feels as though it has been stabbed by a dagger, I can feel the salty tears run down my face and over my mouth. My knees hit the ground, my eyes have been blinded by my tears, I can feel my hands shaking as I am in disbelief.
  • Laertes curses at my soul with such anger, why would he react this way, what will he do, cry, fight, stop eating for her, cut himself. Cause I will, will he be buried alive with her, cause I will.
  • Am I the one to blame for her sorrowful death? My sins will not be forgiven, as I won’t let them. I deserve to feel the pain and suffering of my dear Ophelia’s death. Until the day I die I will bring these vile sins with me, they will haunt me in the heavens until my soul lives no longer and then descend into hell. May my darling Ophelia’s perished body become one with the Earth and the nature of this world. Have her soul become one with God and one with all. She will be the glowing moon but no longer will I see her as I will be the blinding sun.
