- Jason wants to work at his favorite computer but a girl named Maggie is working on it. Aaron tells Maggie to give the computer to Jason and in the end, she does but not without arguing. "C'mon, Maggie, get up. give him that computer. You;re not even doing anything" (page 10)
- Jason gets in trouble with Mrs. Hawthone because he breaks her potter's wheel. Jason doesn't do It on purpose but he still gets in trouble. "I didn't break her potter's wheel on purpose, but that doesn't mean it was an accident, because I was angry when it happened." (page 53)
- Jason and Rebecca finally meet. Rebecca doesn't accept Jason for who he is when they first meet. She avoids him and isn't nice. "I wonder if Rebecca has seen me or maybe she forgot something outside or in her car." (page 172)
