- if you have ever seen an elephant in the wild you can see very fast that they almost never travel alone. poaching is a big problem for elephants because its is resulting in a mass population decline and a road to extinction. this poacher is taking a watch position on a herd of elephants to wait for his shot to come into play.
- the poacher takes his shot and hits the elephant in the heart dropping it almost instantly this poacher is equipped with a double barrel elephant gun chambered in 700 nitro express. this gun is designed to kill an elephant in one good shot the other elephants get spooked and stampede off to protect the babies.
- you're going to jail loser.
- now that the other elephants have fled the scene the poacher can now take his time to remove the tusks of the elephant these tusks are worth some money. and are worth upwards of $1,500USD on the black market most of these animals are poached in south Africa.
- the poacher has boxed and is selling the elephant tusk to a mule who will distribute the tusk to the buyer the poacher is paid $1,350 for the tusk and now will go back to acquiring more product to make more money.
- the solution i have come up with is a more intense punishment for poachers to make them have more of a risk when poaching this would work to maybe divert people from poaching because of the seriousness of the punishment.
- execution is a little extreme but at the severity of the punishment should be based on how endangered the animal is, given that this poacher took the risk to contribute to the reason the African elephant's extinction he should get twenty plus years in prison and if there is a second offense on the same crime then an execution date should be held.
