- Charles I was a terrible king, he married the wrong person, he made sure parliament wasn't involved in his ruling, and he only thought of himself. This lead to the English Civil War, where Oliver Cromwell who lead the Puritans beat Charles I in battle.
- All of Charles I horrible actions had the people fed up. This led to him being beheaded.
- With no monarch Oliver Cromwell became the protector.
- I am now your protector
- England had decide to go back to an absolute monarch. This now put Charles II as king.
- Sadly, after serving England for years, Charles II died in his sleep.
- This lead to James II now being the absolute monarch of England. James II could not agree with parliament, so he ended up leaving.
