During hajj, pilgrims travel between the hills of Safa and Marwah.
They collect water from the well of Zamzam and bring it home to their sick relatives.

O Ibrahim, are we to be left alone in this valley with no water, or food or companions?”
“Then we will not be lost.”
Did Allah tell you to do this?
YES!
“O Lord! I have settled some of my offspring in a barren valley by Your Sacred House so that they would perform the Prayer. O Lord, make the hearts of some people yearn towards them and provide them with fruits for which they would give thanks”.
Hagar repeatedly asked Ibrahim her question, but he did not answer.
Ibrahim left Hagar and Ismail and returned to Palestine without them, just as Allah commanded.
“Do not fear loss, for there is a sacred House here which will be built by this child and his father”,
Ibrahim prayed for Hagar and his son, Ismail.
Hagar ran out of water. She was unable to breastfeed Ismail. The baby became distressed because they were hungry and thirsty.
Hagar began to search frantically for water. She was running between the two hills when Angel Jibril appeared
In his distress, Ismail dug his toes into the sand. In doing so, he discovered the Well of Zamzam, a fresh spring water, which saved him and Hagar from dying of thirst.
