- Here we are outside the castle of the queen and king which is where lived in medieval Europe. They lived in this big castle because they were in the top of the feudal pyramid.
- Serfs couldn't leave their lord's manor, therefore they had to stay in their land. They had to remain on their lord's property for life, and they had to do this because since they work for the lord, they get protection in exchange
- Serfs lived in the Lord's land meaning they had to have a house of course. So serfs had to live inside a 1-2 room house but it wasn't big it was kinda small. These houses were made out of clay, wood, and sticks which worked out to make the house.
- When serfs had children their children had to work young in their lives. In the case of their daughter(s) they were focused on helping to cook and clean.
- Some serfs in exchange for protection or because they don't have any option work in farming, harvesting, cookin, weaving, gardening, and taking care of animals
- In some cases if a surf wanted to be free they had to marry a free woman, buy his own freedom, or even just make a run for it. Anything the can do for freedom.
