- Hmm i don’t really understand magnets, would you mind explaining it to me?
- Sure! First of all, magnets have attractive property, which means the attract one another. Soft magnet materials are easy to magnetize and demagnetize. Hard magnet materials however, retain their magnetism after being magnetized.
- ohh I see!
- A magnetic field starts from the North Pole and ends in the South Pole. The note pole and South Pole of magnets repel each other, if the same pole is brought together however, they will attract each other.

- Of course! You can also map magnetic fields! you can map it by using a plotting compass.
- By placing the plotting compass in adjacent points in the field, you can map out some magnetic lines of force. Using a plotting compass, it allows the direction of the field to be identified, with the needle of the compass pointing along the field lines from north to south.

- there is a neutral point in the magnetic field. the neutral point id when the resultant magnetic field is zero. in general, the neutral point is where the earth's field is balanced.
