- The Man vs Society is Cole being in court and having the judge to make a decision for Cole if Cole would rather go to jail, or go Alaska. The man that Cole had beat and is the reason why Cole and him are in court. The man (Peter) was with his lawer and who was trying to put Cole in jail. But the judge had sent Cole to Alaska.
- The Man vs Man is Cole and a man that Cole had met in Alaska, his name is Garvey. Garvey was telling Cole about a Circle of Justice group that they have in Alaska and how that could get Cole out of going to jail. But Cole had gotten mad at Garvey about it. Garvey somehow new that Cole had a very bad past in his life. Cole and gotten frustrated with Garvey because Cole does not like to talk about his pass to anyone.
- Man vs Nature is with Cole and Garvey. Garvey was asking Cole about how Cole feels about nature. Cole doesn´t really like nature that much. Garvey asked Cole what Cole would do if a bear made its den beside the stream. Cole said he would have killed it.
