  • Where was the Buddha raised/born?
  • How was the Buddha's lifestyle like as a teenager?
  • Why's the Tree Of Wisdom called the Tree Of Wisdom?
  • The Buddha was a prince born/raised into a wealthy family in Nepal around 600 B.C.E. Siddhartha grew up in a palace surrounded by luxuries and people that tried to shield him from the pain and suffering that all people experience at some point in life.
  • How did the Buddha become a Buddha?
  • One day, he ventured outside the palace walls and saw a sick child, an old man, and a rotting corpse. He realized that he, like anyone else could be subject to different forms of human suffering (disease, old age, and\death) and was driven into a personal crisis.
  • How did the Buddha get sick?
  • The Tree Of Wisdom is called the Tree Of Wisdom because that's where the Buddha sacrificed his day for 49 days by mediating. The Buddha didn't eat, drink, shower and etc within the 49 days.
  • How did the Buddha pass away?
  • At a place now known as Bodh Gaya (“enlightenment place”), he sat and meditated all night beneath a pipal tree. After defeating the forces of the demon Mara, Siddhartha reached enlightenment (1982.233) and became a Buddha (“enlightened one”) at the age of thirty-five.
  • He got tired, he probably sometimes passed wind, there is an incident in the Vinaya where he sneezed, and he sometimes became ill.
  • The Buddha is generally shown with a serene or smiling expression, lying on his right side and resting his head on his right hand. The dates of Buddha's life traditionally are given as 566-486 BC. Buddha died from an illness, the nature of which remains unsettled.
