- This is the scene where the bear breaks into Lyddie's cabin and she orders her family up into the loft. This is person vs. nature because it is Lyddie against the bear which is an element of nature.
- Diana and Lyddie were talking to each other and got introduced. Diana explained to Lyddie that she and a few others wanted to fight for better working conditions in the factory. This shows person vs. society because they are fighting against the society for better working conditions.
- Amelia spotted Lyddie and wanted her to come with her for a walk but Lyddie was not coming with her so they started to fight with each other.This shows person vs person because it is two people arguing and are versing.
