- The tree lets the boys climb her branches, pick her apples, and rest in her shade, she loves him so much and never wants him to leave. She has excesive pride though that the boy will never forget her and he will always love her.The tree loves the boy more than she loves herself.
- After a long period of time the little boy has grown some more and wants money but the tree doesn't have any to offer the boy so she gives the boy he apples to sell so that he can make money. The tree continues to give to the boy and eventualy she has nothing left.
- The boy comes back to the tree again after another long period of time and wishes to build a house so agin the tree gives the boy her braches. The tree has gave more of herself and stll recieved nothing in return. This shows catharsis because the little boy still wants from the tree and the tree can't give much more, it makes the audience feel that the tree will give eveything to the boy until there is nothing left of her.
- After some more yeas the boy comes back and tells the tree that he wants to make a boat and sail far far away and be happy. So, the tree tells him that he can cut down her trunk and make the boat, so that he can be happy. This shows Peripeteia because the tree now realizes that she has nothing left to give the boy that she loves with all her heart.

- After the boy cut down the trees trunk she realized that she had nothing left to give to the boy the next time he came back, if he came back. This is an example of agnorosis because the tree realizes that she gave all that she can give and she wonders if the boy will still love her.
- Agnorosis
- The man comes back after his travels and the tree tells him that she doesn't have anymore to give to him and she is sorry. The man tells her that he doesn't need anything else just a place to rest and the tree tells him that he can rest on her stump. This is an examole of nemesis because the tree realizes that she gave everything away, until she had nothing left.
