- The Central Business District is an area where most businesses are located. Homes are uncommon here as CBD's are usually heavily populated and are filled with skyscrapers, malls, and offices. They are also the center points for transportation networks .

- Suburbs are residential communities that are located outside of city centers. They typically have a lower population than the usual city and do not contain any large skyscrapers or buildings.

- A gated community is a fenced neighborhood with control access gates. The gates provide restriction upon the entering of these homes and areas to prevent non-residents from coming near. These factors are meant to create a safe and secure environment.

- Gentrification is the process of taking a poor and rundown neighborhood and renovating it in the hopes that people of higher wealth will come and live there. The setback of this process is that many families that resided in the neighborhood before it was gentrified, may be forced to move out due to the inadequate income required to stay in the area.
- A greenbelt is a ring of land with the purpose of limiting the sprawl of an urban area. This land is typically contained as parks, agriculture, or other forms of open land area. This is a great area for activity if the city provides trails for the civilians.
- Tenements are buildings in which families rent rooms or apartments. These buildings are built with cheap materials and often have very poor sanitation. These factors may lead to very major safety issues.
