  • Hello, I'm Catherine and this is my daughter Ivon. We are living next door.
  • Please come in... Sade and Ivon can play together!

  • Ivon and her mum leave next door to Sade. They want to welcome "the Banks" to their neighborhood
  • Hello Fairy horse and Purple Mermaid. Sade, can I also play with them?

  • Ife and Roduwa began searching in the computer all available information on the Yorubas. They realized there is so much. Sade was very excited to learn about the Yorubas
  • The Yoruba people are descendants of Oduduwa.They live in the South-western part of Nigeria. Their language is Yoruba. Yoruba has a rich culture amongst which are greeting etiquette, dressing, names and oriki.
  • What is Oriki - Oriki is a cultural thing associated with the Yoruba culture. The word 'Oriki" can be translated as panegyric which is a form of praise poetry. In the Yoruba culture, each settlement or minor tribe has its own Oriki. Each household within a tribe or settlement has it own Oriki. Even each individual has his/her own Oriki. 
  • Sade learnt the meaning of her full-name "Folasade Agbeke". Which made her feel so great about herself and no longer want to change her name to Ivon. Ife is pleased to have cheered her up!
