once there was a king called Midas. He was very wealthy and selfish. So selfish that he didn't spend much time with his lovely daughter. But he loved her so much more than anything.
One day, Dionysus, the god of wine and revelry, walked through Midas' castle while his companion, Silenus, fell asleep in Midas' garden. Midas recognised him quickly and let him spend the night for a few days. Midas found out about Dionysus and Silenus and reunited them.
As a way to say thank you, Silenus gave king Midas one wish. Midas thought for a bit and when her was ready, he said "everything i touch will become gold!". Silenus warned Midas about that wish but Midas was to busy think about everything he could do with the wish he he gained the ability instantly.
Midas woke u ready to try his new ability. And his side table became gold before you can say gold. Midas was so happy he touched everything and everyone in the castle. But when it was dinner Midas went to get a grape but the grape turned to gold. Then he went to smell a rose but that turned to gold. He started to sense fear.
His daughter when to hug Midas but she turned to gold. Midas was sad and prayed to Silenus to take it away. Silenus felt pitiful and told him to wash his hands in the river Pactolus. When he turned home, everything Midas had touched had become normal again.Midas hugged his daughter in full happiness and shared his wealth with his people.
