analysing this story I have discovered the point of view in the story to be first person with that in mind this helps us feel a connection to the character feel their emotions

1st person pov
its a hot day I hate my wife
"It's a hot day and I hate my wife"this quote helps us see the first person point of view we can connect to that character but we are only limited to their commentary this effects the tone by only giving us one opinion limiting our range of information

3rd person limited
She plays JINXED, with the J on a double-letter score. 30 points. She's beating me already. Maybe I should kill her.
this quote shows third person limited wich allows the author to keep us wondering what will happen next with the ability to alter what is actually happening in the story

3rd person omniscient
the wife replies with it is great what sort of bagels do you have
the barista ask how is your coffee is there any thing else I can get you
the husband replies with its alright I've had better he says to his wife are you gonna pay for that bagel yourself
this example of 3rd person omniscient wich gives us the best view on peoples feeling and emotions making us not wonder what other characters are thinking of gives us insight on the situation this makes the tone and mood much more predictable

3rd person objective
"She tells me she has lousy letters. For some reason, I hate her more".
third person objective lets us hear character through dialogue from other characters as seen the quote above this can effect the tone and mood because depending on the opinion of each other the dialogue could change ultimately changing the tone and mood of the story.

conclusion
in conclusion the effect the point of view has on the tone and mood is heavy from first person to 3rd person objective they all change the tone and mood in there own way they can all make your opinions on people change they can all make you feel like one thing is gonna happen but something else does the all have a time and place to catch and reel in the reader.
