- Archduke Ferdinand who was nephew of the aged emperor and heir to the throne along with his wife was assassinated by a Serbian student.
- This assassination lead to war with Serbian from Austria-Hungary in which more countries got included because of the alliances.(Blue and White is the AIlied Powers and the Black and Red are the Central Powers)
- The two alliances fought for a long time with trench warfare but they were always at a stalemate. This lead the Germans to use chemical warfare against the Allies for an advantage.
- After the use of the chemical warfare by the Germans the Allied Forces also used chemical warfare and this then lead to an total war where they could use any means necessary to win the war
- The USA joined the war after Germany had sent a message to Mexico Italy also joined the Allied Forces after they got promised their land back. Japan also fought with the Allies. This lead to Germany surrendering and the signing of the Treaty of Versailles.
- After the Treaty of Versailles, Germany turned into a republic and during 1933, a man named Hitler took control of Germany and in 1939, German bombed Poland under Hitler's rule.
