- What difference do you see between the 2-D shapes and the 3-D shapes?
- Good, now I'm going to give each group 3-D shape and each group has to tell me what 2-D shape you see.
- One is flat and the other one is not.
- A 3-D shape has many sides and a 2-D shape doesn't.

- - We got a cube!- the 2-D shape we saw is a square only.
- Now, what 2-D shapes do you see?
- - We got a triangular prism. - The 2-D shapes we saw are a triangle and a rectangle.
- - We got a cone. - The 2-D shapes we saw are a rhombus and a circle.

- So what do you think are the properties of the 3-D shapes you just had?
- That right, a cube has 6 sides and the sides are equal. A triangular prism has 5 sides and 3 of the sides are rectangles and the other 2 are triangles.

- Lastly, a cone has 2 sides that are made of a circle at the bottom and a rhombus. Now I'm going to show you things that we use everyday that are 3-D shapes.

- Now with things that I gave each group, each group member is going to place the item that they got in the correct shape that it has to be in. Remember the properties we just spoke about.
