  • Stockpile up the weapons!
  • The greatest force on its way
  • Making a move
  • 1774-1775: The British had caused a lot of people to be fed up with the very controlling rule. People promptly started to build patriotic feelings and wanted to live without being controlled! Colonists started to create ammunition, stockpile weapons and build a rebellion. The now new rebels would be trained to be marksmen. They boasted about how they could get ready in a minute's notice which gave them the nickname Minutemen!
  • Head the Warning
  • April 1775: King George had been getting ready for a war as well. He had known about the rebellious acts and wanted to make a move quick. He had sent several thousand troops to the colonies. The lieutenant Thomas Gage had ordered 700 troops to work under lieutenant Francis Smith to seize the weapons in Concord and arrest the leaders too.
  • Lexington's fight
  • April 18th, 1775: A rebel spy had been searching around Boston to look for any British activity. He had noticed British soldiers so he went to take a look. He was shocked to find out about the British march out of the city. This is a bad sign because that means they must know of the other Rebels. The spy would have to report everything and get the Rebel leaders ready!
  • Concord's North Bridge Fight
  • The Rebel spy had made it to the rebel camp. He warned the Sons of Liberty and explained that it was time to get ready! Messengers' rode to Lexington east of Concord to spread word. Once word got out another messenger had carried the news to Concord. Troops started to get ready and prepared for war!
  • British soldiers finally make it to Lexington. They get met with minutemen with guns locked and loaded. The minute men were clearly outnumbered and the chance of even winning this fight was extremely low. A bullet had been shot by someone and then the war started. Minutemen taught unproperly were no match against experienced soldiers.
  • After the battle in Lexington the British made their next move. They had to take over Concord against the Rebels. They had to use the North bridge. Secretly the minutemen had taken position and was getting ready for an ambush. The British unknowingly started crossing the bridge and started getting shot at. The British's loses had been severe after a short battle. The Rebels came out with victory and made the British retreat back to Boston!
