  • Idea --> Bill due to public dissatisfaction
  • You are right but you won't get reelected if you don't appease the public
  • Guess it's decided. We shall make the federal government take this problem and let Congress decide on Early Elections in whole US. We shall draft this idea into a congressional bill!
  • What to do now. Early elections will never happen with our current state legislature.
  • Our Idea: We Want Early Elections
  • Introduce Bill to one of the Houses
  • Capitol Hill, Here I am! Let us see what our other Congressmen have to say about federally mandated early elections. Tomorrow, I will introduce this bill to the House.
  • You are the member of the House's Committee on Elections. Do you think this bill can pass?
  • It will pass the house without any issue and committee will also support it after some edits. You will manage to appease people of your district. But whether it becomes a law is down to the Senate and their filibuster due to the current 50-50 split.
  • Reminds me of H.R. 1 bill this year but this is just different shorter version.
  • Committee on Election edits the bill
  • That's enough guys. I think this is enough for a bill otherwise it may soon become tooooooooooooo controversial.
  • May as well Include Federal government footing that bill for election. Gives federal government a chance to make elections more fair and have a higher say in them.
  • I think this is a great bill but can we also add no excuse absentee ballot, while we are on the election topic.
  • If I let you guys keep going, this bill will be harder to pass than H.R. 1!!!!!
  • House Votes on the Bill
  • That bill passed. Same votes as H.R 1 bill. Well, this was just a formality. We will let Senate be the filibusters for this bill as always.
  • The House passes H.R. Bill with 220 yays and 210 nays.
  • Senators may Filibuster the Bill
  • We want Early Elections.
  • Since my election is next term, I can't put my vote for filibuster.
  • I also can't filibuster since our state already has early election so voting against it doesn't make sense.
  • Other states should also have early election.
  • Bill goes to Senate --> Senate Filibuster
  • We wish to have a vote to debate it on senate floor
  • The bill is voted to be debated upon.
  • Filibustered again! Wow! That bill barely made it!
  • Today's Agenda includes the Early Election Bill.
  • The vote has received 61 yays and 39 nays reaching the required 60 for cloture, therefore the bill shall be debated in Senate.
