- Due to the 7 Year War with France, Britain's debt hugely increase by £59 Million, and to solve this situation they decided to tax their colonies in America as the Stamp Act was signed#160;that required/forced their colonies in America to tax British stamps for most of the documents that people there buy. This has led to complaints from Americans about price raises from several products.
