Due to the 7 Year War with France, Britain's debt hugely increase by £59 Million, and to solve this situation they decided to tax their colonies in America as the Stamp Act was signed#160;that required/forced their colonies in America to tax British stamps for most of the documents that people there buy. This has led to complaints from Americans about price raises from several products.

This act was an act that taxed many important goods that were imported to the American colonies. For example, the British have taxed glass, lead, paint, paper, and tea. This has led to great anger rising in each American mindset.
Lexington and Concord
Anger burst as they have been holding for too long. On March 5, 1770, a group of protesters was protesting under the street of Boston and they met a group of 9 British soldiers patrolling. This confrontation has led to the death of 5 colonists. This has made Americans' anger at the British grow to the next level.

On December 16, 1770, a group of colonists dressed up as Indians and went on 3 British merchant ships and dumped all the tea on those 4 ships into the sea. This recognizes the first protest action toward the American.
