  • Why am I feeling like this?!
  • ...WHAT?!?!
  • What does this mean then doctor???
  • Hi, This may be hard to take in, but while we were examining your body, it seems like you have been diagnosed with Bile Duct Cancer...
  • Why did this have to happen to me?
  • Well, not to worry because there is a chance that it can be treated, depending on how serious the situation is.
  • For now, you should rest...
  • ZZZ...
  • BANG!
  • This might sound crazy... but I am your liver.
  • Because of this cancer you've been diagnosed with, it has had a huge impact on me and your internal body...
  • WHAAAAAWHAT ARE YOU!?!?
  • In a classroom...
  • Don't worry my friend, that is why I'm here.
  • Usually, I am not like this, but because of this cancer, I can't do what I could anymore.
  • I'm so sorry...
  • I dont even know what this cancer is or what it does and I'm so confused...
  • As you may know, I am your liver and I'm here to inform you about what's been happening in your body.
  • But first, I will introduce you to who I am and what I do.
  • wow...
  • BANG!
  • WHERE ARE WE?!?
  • The liver is an organ that is located in the digestive system.
  • One of the main things I do for your digestive system is producing bile.
  • I work together with your gallblader , pancreas, and intestines to digest and process the food you consume.
  • BOOM!BOOM!BOOM!
  • What is bile???
  • The bile I produce is a fluid that extracts the fat from the foods you eat and absorbs it.
  • When needed, I store things like Iron and Vitamin A and release it throughout the body if there is a lack in any in the body.
  • With this, it also absorbs the protien and carbohydrates that are in the things you eat.
  • Do you have any connection with the Immune system?
  • Of course I do!
  • If there is any infection in the body, what I do is produce protien and blood cells which fight off the infection.
  • OH NO YOU DON'T!
  • Now that I have entered this body, I will rule over it! MUHAHAHAHAH!
  • A Short dream starts...
  • You shouldn't have messed with us!
  • YAY!
  • YAY!
  • YAY!
  • The short dream ends...
  • YAY!
  • YAY!
  • Wow! You are a very important organ in my body!
  • I also have a duty to keep your blood sugar levels balanced. For example, if your blood sugar levels are low, I will release glucose, to keep it balanced.
  • Now, what I need to talk to you about is the Bile duct cancer that you've been diagnosed with...
  • What is Bile Duct cancer?
  • This cancer has a huge impact on the bile ducts, as well as the bile I produce and send out to the intestine.
  • Bile Duct cancer is a cancer that is found in bile ducts. The bile duct tubes are where my bile is carried.
  • Well, how harmful is it?
  • Once this cancer starts taking action, it blocks the flow of the bile which I produce. Once there is a build up of bile, it ends up damaging me.
  • Well, the cancer can have a huge impact on the function of the digestive system, as well as the liver itself, which is me.
  • YOU SAID WHAT?!?!?
  • The type of Bile Duct cancer you've been diagnosed with is Extrahepatic. This is when the cancer is formed in the bile ducts that are outside of the liver.
  • Did I also forget to mention that there are two types of this cancer?
  • What are the symptoms of Extrahepatic bile duct cancer and what are the chances of survival?
  • Well, the percentage of survival depends on how big the cancer is. Unfortunately, every single circumstance has a very low percentage of survival.
  • The symptoms for this cancer are usually, abdominal pain, weight loss, lots of itching, jaundice, and more.
  • Does this mean that I don't have much time before my last breathe?
  • But, it also depends on how long its been since its been treated. This cancer tends to grow out to other organs as well. For your case the cancer is very little and could be treated right away. Therefore, you have more time than you think.
  • Well, I don't think i have an answer for that my friend.
  • Well, that's all you need to know and all I can tell you about your body.
  • You are also about to wake up from this long dream. So this is goodbye. Also, take care of your body and stay strong...
  • Wait, so this was all a dream!?
  • A Long Dream Later...
  • So it was all a dream...
  • Hey Doctor!
  • About the diagnosis, we have a few things that you will need to do. Since we have found that the cancer that has formed in your body is very little, we can perform a surgery to remove most of the cancer from your body.
  • Good morning John! I have some information that you might have an interest in.
  • Are there other ways that I could get treated for this?
  • This has helped many people so far and possibly could help you!
  • We could also try radiation therapy. This is a medical technology that uses rays to remove or slow down the cancer cells that are spreading in your body.
  • Of coure there are!
  • Doctor, I feel like I would be very comfortable with the radiation therapy.
  • Well that's great! I will book you an appointment for the therapy and we will see where things go from there!
