- There are 2 variations of squirrels , the ones that strictly live on top of a tree, and the ones that live strictly under caves. Their genes also make them adapt to their habitat.
- The squirrels that are located in caves eat grass. and the ones on the trees eat fruits from the trees. The one that live in caves have a higher chance of getting eaten by many predators , and the ones that live on trees have natural selection on their side. This is because their aren´t many eays predators can make the tree squirrels their prey.
- Since the tree squirrels are more capable of surviving, they reprdouce and evolve to only having the phenotype of living in trees. Over time the offsprings will have the ability to adapt to also eating grass and living in the caves since they are a mutation of both types.
- The new offspring will have to adapt to the new changes in the DNA and also the way they eat, the new population of squirrels have now inherited both squirrels abilities to live in the wild.
- their are around 10 squirrels born per day but depending on their genotype they either survive and adapt to their new habitat, or get eaten by predators
- At The end Natural selection makes what it needs to make, and the fittest to survive will end up living and the ones that are more noticable will be eaten
