Hey, did you learn about different kinds of eras in Texas History.
This era is called Natural Texas and Here's why: During 6,000 BC-AD 1519, Native Americans such as the Comanche and the Caddo were all regions over Texas and that's the setting. This era is important because it's the time of the era that shows the origin of Texas. It also shows Texas before it was colonized by Europeans.
From 1519-1690, is the era of age of a contact. This happened in along the Texas coastline, and other various locations from west and east. This is when the Native Texans and Europeans (Spanish, French) first interacted. This era will show the affection of the Native Texans and Europeans' interaction.
Skipping a few eras we learn about the Texas Revolution. Mexican Federalist and Texas Revolution is involved in this era. This era is about the events surrounding the Texas Revolution. This era takes a place in San Antonio, Gonzales, Goliad, San Jacinto from 1833 to 1836. This era shows causes and effects of Texas Revolution against Mexico.
This era is called Republic, this was between a few presidents. This era happened from 1836-1845, in Austin and Houston. This era shows the events that happened in Texas during the independent republic. This era is very iconic, it analyzes problems and solutions that the presidents of the Republic of Texas have done.
This era is called Civil War and Reconstruction, it happened from 1860-1876 in Ausitn, Sabine Pass, Galveston, Palmito Ranch, and Gainsville. This era shows what, how, Texas participated in the American Civil War. It also brings out the effects of Reconstruction in social, economy, politics, etc..
