How to find the slopr of a line

- Hey bro how do you do slope and y-intercept.
- Its actually pretty easy I will show you.
- So to find slope on a graph you have to pick two pretty points and do rise over run and see what you get. After that simplify.And if it makes an N with the line its a negative, if It doesnt make an N it is a positive. So on the graph it would be -1/2
- Oh ok that sounds pretty easy.
- And to find it on a table you have to see how much you add to each number on the sides and then if they all equal the same the simplify and your good. So on the table it would be 2
- Oh OK so how do you find y-intercept then.
- To find y-intercept on a table you have to see the number across from the 0 and that is the y-intercept. So on the table it would be 5
- Ok what about on a graph?
- To find y-intercept on a graph you have to see where the line enters on the y axis and that is the y-intercept. So on the graph it would be 3.
- Oh cool so is that all I have to know?
