  • Once upon a time, there was a sailer named Geoffrey McEwing. He was known for his cheer and generosity. He was quick to smile and gallant to all. Everyone who knew how to sail hoped to encounter him on the open waters.

  • One day, at the end of his rope, Geoffrey saw someone had left his hourglass on the table. Geoffrey hadn't eaten in three days and desperately needed money. He decided to pawn the hourglass and buy it back for its owner as soon as he could. Alas, this was never to happen. Geoffrey got caught and was hanged on the village square. His restless soul still haunts the cemetery.
